A superb way to see one of Morocco’s imperial town and the Roman remnants of a long-gone monarchy in this day trip from Fes to Meknes. Grand gates from the 17th century can be seen in Meknes, notably Bab al-Mansour and Bab Khemis. Keep exploring the area around the Stud, HERI, and Rua stables. Visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, which for a long time served as the solitary mosque in Morocco for non-Muslim visitors. Take in the views of the legendary Bab Mansour and El Hedim Square.
